Why I draw
A drawing exists in itself. A drawing won't age, nor disappear. My illustrations lack an identical referent within reality. They evolve from mere imagination. The act of drawing resembles alchemy in a certain way: it can beat both eld and death. My illustrations tell a story about generations moving through time and space. About each individual confronted with existence, over and over again, fleeing from the overwhelming solitude that often remains. This reclusion is mostly ended by an inevitable death. Hopefully death is not the end in the lines that I draw. May future generations comprise the story.
